I don't wanna sound rude or anything, but Fuga was already frustrating enough to deal with as it was really repetitive and there was too much time between each 1-minute cutscene. It would lead to such a more interesting series than just. Like, imagine what the world would be like for the characters after knowing everything they are told. There was SO MUCH they could have done with all the 500 tons of lore they drop on you at the very end of the game, but instead they just tell it all to you and then the game just ends. I loved the characters, setting, simplistic mechanics but insanely heavy story, etc etc. Why make a trilogy of this series? I personally found Solatorobo to be a way more interesting entry in the series. I first heard a few months ago that fuga was going to be a trilogy, and despite there being no proof for such a claim, I was immediately disappointed. It's what Fuga 2 expands upon after all.(Read with an open mind. There are some tidbits here n' there in the middle that'll flesh out certain members of the cast, but really it's the last part of the game that you'd need to know most to understand what's going on in the sequel. Watch the Link Events of the characters you've grown to like as well as the sequel will pick up where their conversations left off.įuga 1's plot can be summed up as 'The Nazis are coming! We must save our families!' up until the very last part of the game where it does a swerve. If the latter, then just pull up a walkthrough on Youtube and watch the cutscenes. So when you do hit Chapter 7, ask yourself if you're down to play 5 more chapters of this or if you're feeling tired of the gameplay. Even the bosses aren't exempt with one or two exceptions. By that point, Fuga 1 runs out of tricks to wow you with so you'll end up facing a whole ton of recycled enemies n' formations. Gameplay wise, 2 is a definitive improvement across the board so I'd say play up until Chapter 7 of Fuga 1. A huge chunk of the Fuga 1 cast return to 2 so you may end up feeling a little lost jumping into 2 blindly. 2 assumes you've played 1 so they don't bother explaining why certain characters are like this way or what exactly they're referring to.
